Privacy Policy

1. What We Store on Your Device

FocusLock stores the following data locally on your device only:

• Your lock rule names, schedules, and custom messages
• Focus session history and achievement progress
• Language, appearance, and notification preferences
• App tokens selected via the Screen Time picker (these are opaque system tokens and are never readable as app names)

2. What We Do NOT Collect

• No Personal Information: We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any personal identifiers.
• No Analytics or Tracking: We do not use any analytics SDKs, advertising identifiers, or tracking technologies.
• No Server Communication: No data is ever sent to any server owned or operated by us. The app works entirely offline (except for optional wallpaper fetching from Bing).

3. Screen Time & Family Controls

FocusLock uses Apple's Screen Time API (FamilyControls framework) to apply app restrictions during your scheduled times.

• This data is managed entirely by iOS at the system level.
• FocusLock cannot read which specific apps you have installed or their usage data.
• App selection tokens are opaque identifiers that cannot be reverse-engineered into app names.

4. iCloud Sync

Your rules and preferences are synced via iCloud Key-Value Storage so they survive app reinstalls and are available across your devices.

• This data is encrypted by Apple and is only accessible from your own Apple ID.
• We have no access to your iCloud data.
• You can disable iCloud sync in your iOS Settings at any time.

5. Third-Party Services

FocusLock does not use any third-party SDKs, analytics, ads, or tracking services.

The only external network request the app makes is to fetch wallpaper images from Bing Image of the Day (bing.com) for the focus timer background. No personal data is sent with these requests.

6. Data Retention

Since no data is uploaded to our servers, we do not retain any of your personal data. All local data (rules, sessions, preferences) is stored on your device and in your personal iCloud account. This data is deleted when you uninstall the app or clear iCloud storage.

7. Children's Privacy

FocusLock does not collect any personal data and is safe for users of all ages. The app can be used by parents to help manage screen time for their families. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain jurisdictions).

8. Your Rights

Since we do not collect or store any personal data on our servers, there is no personal data for us to access, modify, or delete. All your data is under your control on your device and iCloud account.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
